Atlantic Station was recently recognized as the #2 Best Place to Live in America by Niche for 2025, a distinction that reflects our community’s strong livability, safety, and continued investment in resident and visitor experience.
A key contributor to this success is Atlantic Station’s close, ongoing partnership with the Atlanta Police Department and other local law enforcement agencies. These collaborations make a meaningful impact every day, helping ensure that Atlantic Station remains one of Atlanta’s most livable and vibrant neighborhoods.
Security protocols at Atlantic Station include, but are not limited to:
- Real Time Monitoring: Atlanta Police Department has direct access to Atlantic Station’s cameras, enabling 24/7 monitoring capabilities and integration into APD's real-time crime monitoring network.
- Monthly Coordination Meetings: Established monthly meetings with Chief of Police, Chief Schierbaum, and Zone Commander, Major Hunt, to review all upcoming events and notable dates at Atlantic Station.
- Event Calendar Sharing: Distributing a monthly calendar of events, including expected attendance, to Chief Schierbaum and Major Hunt for proactive crowd management.
- Surveillance Tower Trial: Trial use of temporary APD-provided equipment during select peak periods to support visibility and crowd management.
- Transition to APD Off-Duty Officers: We are exclusively hiring APD officers to ensure full jurisdiction and enforcement capability. Full implementation is expected in the next 30 days, by the end of February.
- Enhanced Coverage: Once we fully transitioned our Off Duty Officer program to APD officers, we will gain on peak days (regular Saturdays and event days) 50% greater ODO coverage.
- Shuttle Surveillance: Evaluating additional security measures on shuttle operations during peak times.
