White House | Black Market Comes to ATLANTIC STATION®
The retail brand known for its feminine, sophisticated apparel and accessories in timeless shades of white and black, White House | Black Market, will open its doors on October 1, 2005 in Atlantic Station.
White House began as a women’s boutique in Baltimore in 1985 offering exclusively white and ivory apparel. It was an immediate success and in 1995, the company extended their classic color focus to debut Black Market, a similar monochromatic themed fashion-forward collection of clothing and accessories; this time in shades of black. The concept proved as popular as White House and in 1997 was combined under one roof as White House | Black Market. The brand now operates over 180 retail stores.
“We’re thrilled to be opening in Atlantic Station. We strive to make women feel beautiful and extend that concept to every aspect of our company; from the design of the clothing to the elegant layout of the stores to the way customers are treated in the store. It all works together to simply make women look and feel great,” says Mori MacKenzie, Executive Vice President Chief Stores Officer, White House | Black Market.
White House | Black Market offers an assortment of stylish, private-label clothing and accessories inspired by the latest runway trends. The White House | Black Market customer is confident, fashion-conscious and dresses to fit her lifestyle. From wearable classics to sexy, elegant looks for a special night out, to casual separates perfect for any vacation, women trust the versatility of the collection.
The Company was acquired by Chico’s FAS in Sept. 2003 and is headquartered in Ft. Myers, Florida. The newest location in Atlantic Station will be located on 18th Street and Atlantic Drive next to Jos. A. Bank and across the street from West Elm.
