Arnall Golden Gregory Announces Move to New Atlantic Station Mixed-Use Development

ATLANTA, July 16, 2002 – One of Atlanta’s largest law firms announced plans today to move to Atlantic Station, a 140-acre mixed-use property being developed by Jacoby Development, Inc.

Arnall Golden Gregory LLP, which has been a tenant in Midtown's One Atlantic Center since 1994, will move to Atlantic Station, also in Midtown, in October of 2004. Plans call for AGG initially to occupy 135,000 square feet, allowing the 130-attorney firm to house its current staff and allow for the expansion of its practice.

"Atlantic Station is not only an exciting and noteworthy development for Atlanta, but it represents a vision that captures the same entrepreneurial spirit that we cater to," said William H. Kitchens, managing partner at AGG. "We think it will be a wonderful environment for our people, offering an exceptional business climate and the additional amenities of a mixed-use development. We are enthusiastic about being involved on the front end of a project that offers such significant advantages to the city at large and Midtown in particular."

"Arnall Golden Gregory's plans to move to Atlantic Station is a win-win situation. We are proud to have such a high caliber tenant, and AGG's employees will reap the benefits of working in a mixed-use environment," states Charles Brown, vice chairman of Atlantic Station who is in charge of office leasing.

"Combined with the recent lease agreement with SouthTrust, we have now leased 50 percent of this building--a remarkable accomplishment in what's being deemed a sluggish office market," Kevin Fitzpatrick, President of AIG Global Real Estate.

John Dolan and Bubba Chrismer of Trammell Crow Company represented AGG in the transaction, partnering with legal industry specialists Art Santry and Dale Martin of Trammell Crow's Washington, D.C., office.

"Of the many opportunities we evaluated for AGG, Atlantic Station clearly emerged as the right decision based upon the objectives of the firm," Dolan said.

Added Chrismer: "The disciplined methodology we applied to the search made the decision-making process much more manageable for a firm of this size and stature."
