ATLANTA, GA: Atlanta’s Star 94 has stepped up and accepted the challenge to bring live outdoor, mainstream music back to Midtown. Today, Atlanta’s premiere top 40 station, Star 94 announced the date and location for their inaugural Star Fest. Set for Saturday, July 22, Star 94’s Star Fest is a one-day, two-stage, outdoor music festival to be located in the heart of midtown amongst the new development in Atlantic Station this summer.
"We are thrilled to be bringing music back to midtown," says Star 94's General Manager Mark Kanov. "Star Fest in Atlantic Station is a perfect combination. It’s Atlanta's most exciting new development combined with Midtown's new signature festival."
“For centuries, music has drawn communities together and we couldn’t be happier to partner with Star 94 as we invite all of Atlanta to celebrate the summer in Atlantic Station,” said Brian Leary, Atlantic Station's vice president of design and development.
After many meetings and brainstorming, Star 94’s Star Fest is Star’s response to the lack of outdoor music experiences and festivals in the city. “With a city the size of Atlanta, it is sad to see large outdoor events come and go,” adds Star 94’s Program Director Dan Bowen. “Star Fest is ready to fill that void. We are looking forward to showcasing some of today’s hottest national talent that you would hear on Star’s airwaves as well as spotlight some of the emerging artists in our own backyard.”
Ticket information, full talent line-up as well as more event details will be announced on Wednesday, May 17th at a press luncheon in Atlantic Station. Invitations to follow.
Star Fest is presented by Star 94 and sponsored by Bellsouth and Bud Light. If you are interested in being involved with Star 94’s Star Fest call 404-261-2970.
