Malignant melanoma is the most dangerous form of skin cancer and the fifth most common type of cancer in the nation.  Since the 1940s, the incidence of melanoma has Doubled every year, to the point where it is currently the most common cancer among people aged 25-29.  The average American’s chances of being diagnosed with Melanoma in their lifetime are currently at one in 75!

The primary activities of the William S. Graham Foundation for Melanoma Research, Inc. are to raise funds in support of research designated to finding the cure for the later stages of the deadly disease, malignant melanoma, to educate the public regarding the cause and prevention, and to assist in the early detection of this insidious, potentially lethal cancer.

La Roche-Posay, the No. 1 dermatologist-recommended skincare brand in Europe and Canada is committed to dermatology and to the education of healthy skin care.  We recognize and value the mission of the Billy Foundation and are honored to be a part of this important event.  Barbara Brownlee, a La Roche-Posay Area Manager will also be on-site to meet and speak with event attendees.  To ensure safety under the sun, this Mole Patrol event will provide free samples of La Roche-Posay’s Biomedic Facial Shield SPF 20 to all attendees.
